General hawk is the code name for Major General Clayton M. Abernathy. Born from a wealthy family of Denver, Colorado. He graduated as the top of the class at West Point. General hawk is an excellent leader who gained his experience from different battles. He is mostly describe as a "keenly intelligent and perceptive and quite capable of totally selfless acts in support of his team-mates.

He was a field commanding officer of the JOE's before he became the commander in chief. general hawk is responsible for recruiting the original GI Joe team when he was still the colonel. The Joe's respected him for his bravery and splendid leadership skills.

General Clayton lead the GI Joe team from the intrusion of the Cobra. What keep him busy are the operations at the Pit. Even general he still go with the team at battlefields.

Storm Shadow to Shoot GI Joe Sequel

General Hawk Ready to shoot for GI JOE Sequel

Dennis Quaid as Gen. Hawk of the GI Joe : Rise of Cobra states that he is ready

for the sequel of the movie.

In an exclusive interview Quaid said that he is interested for the sequel

even though he did not know if there is a script already. That just shows his being so professional

keeping ready for the movie by studying the script.

Fans so love Gen. Hawk that they were two thumbs up for him being in the sequel.

The veteran actor does have one special request for Gen. Hawk in G.I. Joe 2. "I want to get out of the pit," says Quaid. "I want to ride a horse and shoot a gun. I want a horse with an accelerator suit." (Sci FI interview with Quaid)

It is not the rate of how good a movie is or how positive or negative its reviews are that leds a movie to its sequel, but the earning it garnered or if it is a box office hit.

GI JOE: Rise of Cobra may get its worst review in fact it got a 39% rating on rotten tomatoes but it can not stop it from having a sequel.

The movie has approximately 100 million dollars box office worlwide with 56.2 million dollars stateside.

Rob Moore vice-chairman of Paramount Studios confirmed to an LA Times article that a sequel is to be so soon.

Stephen Sommers to direct GI JOE Sequel

The different negative reviews of GI JOE: Rise of Cobra was mostly blamed to the director Stephen Sommers. It is heared that Sommers was lock out of the film's editing room because of a disastrous test screening. Though the director was given full freedom to do the film he did not give his best shot and has only little knowledge of the GI JOE mythlogy that leds to ruining the film. Due to the negative alligations Paramount may not let Sommers do the GI JOE sequel. On the other hand Lorenzo di Bonaventura spoke to Latino Review contradicting the rumors of the firing of Sommers. di Bonaventura as oppose to what many says states that Sommers was not ask to leave nor was not being fired. In fact he states that in contrast to that rumor about the editing of the film, the screen test had gone so well. All have been said, maybe we will again see Sommers in action with all of the lead actors and new additional actors of the GI JOE Sequel,or not!.

As to be expected there will be new characters to be included in the GI JOE Sequel. We have seen Brendan Fraser had a cameo appearance on GI JOE: Rise of Cobra as a training instructor on the Pit. It is possible that he will be back at the sequel of the movie as a cameo or as part of the new characters of the film. There were also rumors about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson being on the first GI Joe, but the rock fan were just frustrated because he is not in the film. It is Probable that he may be in the sequel of the next GI Joe. He maybe a good character as Heavy Duty's Cousine or he may be part of the villain. We all know that both actors have work before with director Stephen Sommers.

THE JOES:

General Hawk - played by Dennis Quaid. because of his great intilligence he graduated top of the class. The leader of the Joes. He is in the military before who leads the best team in the battle field. He receive so many awards and merits.

Duke - played by Channing Tatum. The leader of the military team who were supposed to deliver the nanotechnology to NATO. Duke wants action thats why he always refuse to his friends invitation on joining the airforce. Four years ago he was engage to Ana Lewis before he blamed himself for the killing of Ana's brother Rex Lewis on a mission. He then become one of the Joes when he told the General that he knew the leader of the team who ambushed them.
Scarlett - played by Rachel Nicholas. A very smart lady who graduated college as early as the age of twelve. She did not understand why men are so attracted to her. Later in the story she discover the soft part in her and being in loved with Rip Cord.
Snake Eyes - portrayed by Ray Park and Leo Howard , the 10 year old snake eyes. A ninja commando who took a vow of silence after he has seen his martial art teacher being killed.
Rip Cord - played by Marlon Wayans. A funny man who is a member of Duke's team on deliviring the warhead. He has a passion on flying aircrafts thats why he is convincing Duke his military buddy and bestrfiend that they may join the airforce. He too become a member of the Joes for his extraordinary shooting ability. He shows his affection to his co Joe and the only lady of the team Scarlett. He was responsible for the stopping of the two warhead missile.
Heavy Duty - played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. A big black man who is the teams leader of the Joes. responsible for leading the Joe force in combat between the cobra force. Known as the man with out fear.
Breaker - played by Said Taghmaoui. The team's communication specialist and who is always incharge on the programming thing on locating the nanotechnology and the base of MARS. Best known for his love of chewing gum especially during rough minutes. he can also speak seven langguages.

THE VILLAINS :

James McCullen / Destro - played by Christopher Eccleston. The main villain of the film who is the founder and leader of the Military Armament Research Syndicate (MARS). He was the descendant of the McCullen family the biggest arm dealer of France, whose ancestor was accused of betraying the country. His greatest dream is to change the world using the nanotechnology. He took a burn after a physical encounter with duke and the doctor inject him with nanomite incasing his face with a silver.
The Doctor/Cobra Commander/Rex Lewis - played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He was Ana Lewis brother and was a member of the military four years ago. Suspected of being killed on a mission headed by duke. In the long run it turn out that rex was alive and assume the identity of the The Doctor who is the mind behind the nanomite technology. He became Cobra commander after implanting a nanomite to James McCullen.
Ana Lewis/ Anastacia de Cobray/ The Baroness - played by Sienna Miller. Four years ago she was engaged to Duke and then they broke up after what happened to his brother Rex. She was implanted by a nanomite and became the memeber of the Cobra and the lover of James McCullen. She became the Baroness when he got married to The Baron de Cobray for some hidden agenda by the cobra.
Thomas Arashikage / Storm Shadow - portrayed by Lee Byung-hun and Brandon Soo Hoo as the young storm shadow. A member of the arashikage clan and the rival of Snake Eyes. When he was 10 he was seen beside the body of his master that is killed.

Zartan - portrayed by Arnold Vosloo. He is serving Destro and was implanted by a nanomite. At the last part of the movie he infiltrate the white house and assumes the identity of the president of the United States.

GI JOE SYNOPSIS

The movie starts when a US army group headed by duke was tasked to deliver the nanotechnology based weapon which was sold from James McCullen a weapon expert to the NATO. The group was being ambushed by a skilled group of people that is lead by the Baroness in which duke recognize was his ex fiancee Ana Lewis. Luckily a group of some kind of a special force rescued Duke and his only member left Rip Cord. The team which was composed of Scarlett, Snake eyes and Heavy Duty was asked to continue the mission but Duke did not alow it for He did not know the group, so the commander let them take Duke and Rip Cord to The Pit, GI JOE command center in north Africa. they met General Hawk the head of the GI JOE team. Hawk was convinced by duke that he and Rip Cord will join the GI team when he told him that he knew the Baroness. So Duke and Rip Cord went into a rigid training. A revelation came out that the master mind behind the ambush was McCullen. He was using the nanotechnology to build a group of soldiers with the help of the Doctor who is the brain behind nanotechnology and other warheads of McCullen. McCullen had locate the hide out of the GI so he send the Baroness, Storm Shadow and Zartan to go to the Pit and get the warhead. The team did actually was succesful in stealing the warhead and headed into there next destination to Baron DeCobray the Baroness husbund and a scientist for him to weaponize one of the four warhead and use it to destroy the Eiffel Tower to serve an example of how pawerful the warhead is. The Baroness team was on their way to Paris and the JOE run after them to stop their wicked plan, but the Joes was unsuccesful. Although duke was able to hit the switch to turn off the warhead he was then captured by the villain and took him under the Arctic, the base of McCullen. The Joe with the help of Breaker the team's specialist on communication locates the base of McCullen and fly to the Arctic. McCullen launch the three left warhead. One of the missile was taken out by snake eyes while the other two was pursued by Rip Cord using the prototype night raven jet. Scarlett together with a group of Joes infiltrate the base. Scarlett and snake eyes attempt to shut the base while heavy Duty leads the Joes forces to combat against the cobras forces. On the other part of the base, Doctor is preparing Duke, for McCullen wanted duke to be a part of his force. By then, Duke learned that the doctor was the known dead brother of Ana lewis, Rex Lewis who was four years ago trapped at the bunker when he was with a mission lead by duke. Duke also learned that the Doctor put a nanomite at the baroness making her under the control of the Cobra. resisting the programming for her, the Baroness free duke. upon attempting to kill Duke, McCullen ends up having his face burned and flee with Rex and activated the bases self destruction, making the joes to fall back. Rex heals McCullen by implanting him a nanomite, encasing his face a silver mask and then naming him Destro and assuming himself as the Cobras commander,later on they were both captured. While the Baroness was put into the protective program until they can remove the nanomites from her body. Zartan being first operated by Rex infiltrates the white house and acquires the individuality of the president of the United States.

Unveiling the Secrets behind G.I Joe

In 2003 Lorenzo di Bonaventura wanted to produce a film that the whole world can connect with. A film that has an advanced technology is what he is fond of producing. Collegue Brian Goldner proposed on making a film about the G.i Joe toy line. Both are known as the brains behind almost toy line for movies. Script writer of the movie 300 Michael B. Gordon was choosen to write the script for the movie. A new character by the name of Rex is being introduced in the story line to make a more exploration of one of the leading characterDuke. Don Murphy wanted to develop the movie but because of the on going war at Iraq he considered it not suitable at the moment. Instead he changes his attention to another Hasbro toy line the Transformer that was aired in the middle of july 2009. Gordon's outline on the G.I Joe was rewritten by the Authors of Bonaventura's Four Brothers, David Elliot and Paul Lovett. They have innovated Gordons work adding Rex undergoing mutation into the Cobra Commander who will lead Destro's undestructible soldiers. By the year 2007 another writer rewritten the script by the name of Skip Woods and impart an additional character which was Alex Mann from the Action Man toy line. Luck went down and the script was spread online by a Latino review named El Mayimbe who exposed that Cobra Organization was erased on the story line and was replaced by Ryan/Naja a crooked CIA agent. Also in Woods draft, Action Mann and Scarlett is married though the latter has feeling for Duke. The Baroness has killed Scarlett in the leaked outline. Also, the mute Snake-Eyes speaks with vocal chords cut during the story, and making him speachless again. Stuart Beattie was recommended by the Latino review writer to write again the script. A negative reaction was made by the fan who are constantly looking forward for the movie. Bonaventura assured that Cobra will be seen in the movie. Stephen Sommers was hired after being presented to the Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Gray and production head Brad Weston. After exploring the G.I Joe world and upon visiting the Hasbro headquarter at Rhode Island, Sommers was so exited and delighted to do the movie. Because of the success of the movie Transformer which is also produced by Bonaventura the G.I Joe team got its urge to make the movie as best or much better than Transformer. El Mayimbe's suggestion was accepted and Stuart Beattie fill in as the new script writer of the film. Larry Hamma the god of G.I Joe was made creative consultant for his great knowledge on the story line. He helped improve story elements that will attract the follower of the G.I Joe comics reader and ultimately all the fans waiting for the movie. He also win in persuading that Snake-Eyes must not talk on the entire movie unlike on the comics that he speaks at the last part. John Lee Hancock, Brian Koppelman and David Levien assisted in writing different scenes. Director Sommers shares that the film would have be fallen due to strikes if not because of the rich backstory of the franchise. Goldener has said that it is not the carton that inspired them in making the G.I Joe movie but instead it is the comics created by Hama.

An action film was released last 7th of August year 2009 in the United States and some other Countries who speak the universal language english, and the 6th of August in Australia, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and New Zealand, and the very first showing in France and Belgium last 5th of August.. The movie is entitled G.I JOE: The Rise of Cobra was produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura known for producing top grossing movies like Transformer and others. It was directed by well known director Stephen Sommers. The characters of the movie is adapted by the very popular G.I JOE toy franchise plus an additional character to spice it more. The motion picture is based on the scripts by John Paul Kay. The film was shoot in Downey, California and Parague's Barrandov Studios. The story is about a special unit of the government force called the GI JOE or government issue officers who are trained the very best and are given with the coolest advanced military gadgets. Two armies Duke and Ripcord is lucky to pass the extensive training and are now part of the group.Together with there collegues Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Heavy Duty and Breaker They work on there first operation and that is to run over the person behind the stealing of a very expensive and dangerous warhead made by the MARS company. Through the brilliant works of Breaker they have traced that the person behind the stealing is no other than the maker of the product itself James McCullen. The Joe's discovered that the warhead is to be used as a destruction weapon to gain power. Now they are on the move to MARS company to get back what was stolen for the government and to protect the world from total wipeout.
